Radiation Therapist

Our Award-Winning Client , a nationally recognized healthcare provider, is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join their team in Las Cruces, NM . This role requires in-person attendance, and visa sponsorships are not available.

Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment safely and accurately to deliver ionizing radiation for therapeutic treatments.
• Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures according to established protocols, in alignment with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and instructions.
• Conduct pre-treatment preparations, including simulations and fabrication of treatment devices.
• Perform daily quality assurance (QA) checks on linear accelerators and CT simulators.
• Utilize hospital and Radiation Oncology electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient treatment, positioning, and progress.
• Ensure clear communication and coordination of patient care, including scheduling simulations and treatments.
• Maintain a compassionate and supportive environment, educating patients and ensuring a positive treatment experience.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, staying calm and proactive in stressful situations.
• Work collaboratively with the Radiation Oncology team while also being capable of functioning independently.
• Participate in on-call procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy program.
• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and licensed in the state of New Mexico (or eligible for licensure).
• CPR certification required .
• 3-5 years of radiation therapy experience preferred .
• Strong knowledge of radiation therapy equipment, safety standards, and operational protocols.
• Ability to handle radiation sources safely and effectively.
