Are you an experienced mortgage underwriter looking for an exciting new opportunity with a dynamic and rapidly growing team? Join a fast-paced environment where you'll play a key role in evaluating borrower financials, credit information, and property valuations to guide lending decisions. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will work closely with various team members throughout the loan process, helping bring loans to a successful closing.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite and make decisions on agency conforming, jumbo, FHA, and VA residential mortgage loans.
Verify and analyze borrower financial information and documentation, ensuring loan files are complete with necessary credit and legal documents.
Review appraisal reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies or concerns.
Perform thorough analysis of applicants' income, expenses, assets, credit reports, and property valuations to determine loan eligibility.
Calculate key qualifying ratios and assess creditworthiness to provide risk opinions.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience underwriting VA, FHA, Conventional, and Jumbo loans.
A minimum of 4 years of underwriting experience.
Expertise in underwriting FNMA, FHLMC, and Non-Conforming mortgages is a plus.
Strong knowledge of Desktop Underwriter (DU) and Loan Prospector/Loan Product Advisor (LP/LPA).
Solid understanding of the mortgage lending process and ability to carry out key loan calculations (DTI, LTV, etc.).
Capable of preparing detailed findings reports.
Comfortable managing multiple files simultaneously while ensuring attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
