Savard Personnel is Hiring a Fittings Machine Operator in Geismar, LA area for Job # 20469 Job Environment: This role will involve working in a machine shop environment, focusing on precision machining of materials including high-density polyethylene, PVC, ductile iron pipe, valves, and fittings. Job Scope/Duties:
- Operate machinery to assemble and fabricate pipe fittings and related components.
- Load materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment for production.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure accurate production and quality standards.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent malfunctions.
- Record production data and report any issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations. Work History Experience:
- Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred. - Familiarity with fittings assembly or a similar role is an asset. Requirements:
- Background screening and drug testing must be completed before starting.
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and handle materials as needed. Shifts/Hours:
Day shift: 7: 30 AM - 4: 30 PM;
Night shift: 4: 30 PM - 12: 30 AM.
Monday - Friday with weekends as necessary
Max 50 hours Pay: Training Pay $16;$18 after training.
