Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee flight department operations, in order to maintain the highest level of
    safety and quality standards, while ensuring passenger requests are met for
    each flight.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance on appropriate timelines for airplane
    repairs and inspections in order to minimize airplane downtime.
  • Work with the Director of Maintenance on maintenance negotiations and
    approvals for the purchase of parts and services from third party vendors.
  • Perform all PIC (Pilot In Command) duties when acting as PIC of the flight.
  • Perform all SIC (Second In Command) duties when acting as the second in
    command of the flight.
  • Coordinate with co-Captain on daily non-flying and flying needs, and oversee all
    requirements are met to department standards.
  • Maintain daily communication with Accounts Payable in order to provide approval
    and feedback on all invoices.
  • Provide annual budgets, including forecasted scheduled maintenance costs.
  • Hold regular department meetings and maintain constant communication with the
    crew regarding maintenance and trip requirements.
  • Maintain validity of all records and documentations required by the FAA.
  • Prepare and maintain flight department crew training and proficiency records.
  • Update daily and monthly flight logs, petty cash, GE and Honeywell reports.
  • Exercise operational control over the scheduling and conduct of flights.
  • Coordinate with cleaner to ensure aircraft cleanliness before and after flights.
  • Must reside within a reasonable and commutable driving distance from KHOU

Experience and Qualifications Experience and Qua 119 management experi

  • Must have a minimum of 5,000 hours TT
  • At least 5 years of Part 119 management experience
  • Current ATP Certificate
  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Permit
  • FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Valid US Passport (must not be expired)
  • Type rating preferred but not required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively
