Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving operational excellence, project success, and client satisfaction? We are seeking an innovative and results-oriented Director of Traffic Control, Estimating, and Sales to oversee and optimize our traffic control operations, lead our estimating team, and drive sales growth. In this key role, you'll blend technical expertise with business acumen, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and strong customer relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee both the estimating and sales teams, making sure their work aligns with the company’s goals. Develop and execute strategies to grow revenue, win new contracts, and expand into new markets. Collaborate with the leadership team to set sales goals and business development plans.
  • Estimating: Ensure the estimating team creates accurate, competitive bids for traffic control projects. Review bids for accuracy, work with vendors for pricing, and maintain a system to track and follow up on project bids.
  • Sales: Lead the sales team to pursue new business opportunities with government contracts, private projects, and other markets. Build relationships with clients and contractors, manage key accounts, and oversee the preparation of sales proposals. Analyze sales data to improve success rates.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with the Operations and Project Management teams to ensure bids and sales commitments align with what the company can deliver. Coordinate with legal and finance teams to ensure bids and contracts meet regulatory and financial standards.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor staff in both estimating and sales. Support their growth with feedback and training. Encourage the use of new tools and technologies to improve the accuracy of estimates and the effectiveness of sales efforts.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Manage the budgets for both departments, track spending, and work with finance to ensure all bids and sales activities meet profitability targets.
  • Process Improvement & Technology: Improve processes in both estimating and sales to ensure efficiency and consistency. Implement technology like estimating software and CRM tools to streamline operations.
  • Client Relations & Business Development: Serve as the main contact for key clients, maintaining strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle. Attend industry events to promote the company and develop new business opportunities.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to ensure the company remains competitive. Share insights and suggestions with the leadership team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience: 7-10 years in traffic control, construction, or civil engineering, with 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficiency with estimating software and CRM tools. Knowledge of traffic control operations and regulations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to travel to job sites and attend client meetings as needed.
