The Society promotes the study and conservation of marine life and habitat, protects the coast from harm, and empowers others to do the same. We are offering summer internship opportunities based out of Sandy Hook National Recreation Area.
The Development Intern will support the overall fundraising efforts of the American Littoral Society. The Intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Development and Communications team and the organization as a whole. The Development Intern reports to the Director of Development, Membership and Outreach.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
Qualifications: We are seeking an energetic, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual with event planning, fundraising, marketing, and/or communications experience ideally in a public-facing role. A working knowledge of the life history and ecology of local marine life is desirable, but not necessary. Internship will require the use of personal vehicle and laptop.
This internship opportunity is a paid, part-time, two-day-a-week role with flexible hours and some evening and weekends required. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established organization that promotes coastal conservation.
