Position Title: Chief Engineer

Location: Crane, IN or Luling, TX (with travel between both locations)

Job Overview:

X-Bow Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to lead our engineering efforts in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in chemical operations and manufacturing processes, with a focus on continuous improvement, safety strategies, and best practices. This role requires dynamic leadership and the ability to manage complex engineering projects, including the development and commissioning of a pilot plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Management and Production Processes:

• Demonstrate knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, safety practices, and other techniques for maximizing manufacturing key product indices.

• Lead and manage engineering teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.

• Practical Knowledge and Continuous Improvement:

• Present a well-rounded chemical operations experience, including involvement in the application of continuous improvement, safety strategies, and best practices in a continuous process environment.

• Drive initiatives to enhance productivity and optimize resource utilization .

• Interpersonal Skills and Communication:

• Establish communication channels and interact with third-party engineering companies for participation in conceptualization, process development, detailed design, construction, and commissioning of a pilot plant.

• Foster strong relationships with stakeholders and ensure transparent communication.

• Industry Experience:

• Demonstrate nitration experience with an understanding of reactor chemistry in industries such as fertilizer, pesticides, explosives, pharmaceuticals, dyes and pigments, and chemical intermediates.

• Exhibit paper mills experience with an understanding of equipment functions in industries such as paper mills, pulp mills, nonwoven mills, cotton mills, and packaging plants.

• Experience with nitrocellulose and manufacturing processes is highly preferred

Qualifications:

• 10-15 years of relevant experience, but open to candidates with less experience who demonstrate exceptional skills and knowledge.

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee complex engineering projects.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Ability to travel between Crane, IN and Luling, TX as required .
