SusieCakes is currently seeking to hire a FT Driver for their operations in the Austin Market! If you are interested in working 35-40+ hours a week supporting with delivering large and heavy amounts of baked goods between locations, then please apply to our link with the application.

Pay: $18-20/HR + tips (est. $2-$3 an hour)

*Must be at least 21 years of age to operate the company van.*

Hours: 35-40+ per week

Shifts: Will be working 5 days a week, and times could range between 7 AM to 4 PM. Candidates need to have open availability due to our operations runnign 7 days a week.

At SusieCakes, we make old-fashioned, sentimental dessert favorites – just like you may remember from your childhood! Our bakeries are filled with the delicious tastes and sweet smells of cakes, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and bars- all baked from scratch, on-site daily, using the freshest and finest ingredients. Our signature Celebration Cake is a birthday staple on tens of thousands of tables. Our bakeries mix the nostalgia of the past with the warmth and feel of a modern, neighborhood bakery. “Connecting through Celebration” is our purpose and what we strive for every day with our team members, our guests, and our community.

The delivery driver is responsible for the transport of our baked goods and other food/supply items. They will be driving between multiple SusieCakes bakeries, our commissary kitchen, and any guest locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operations Management: Manage the delivery calendar activities daily, daily bakery requisitions checklist and adhering to the culinary schedule
• Ensure all food is handled and stored according to all required food safety code standards
• Assist with kitchen food prep & production of baked goods as needed
• Ensure delivery cruiser maintenance & service matters are managed
• Manage expenses for delivery cruiser (i.e., gasoline, tolls, repairs)
• Ensure the delivery cruiser is driven in a professional manner consistent with local vehicle laws

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license required
• Excellent driving record required
• Knowledgeable of GPS navigation systems
• Outstanding customer service focus and skills
• High degree of professionalism
• Must be able to safely utilize all bakery equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
• Able to sit for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English

OTHER:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
